The Ramaciotti Centre was delighted to take part in yesterday's UNSW Laboratory Research and Services Expo, held in the Roundhouse (E6) at UNSW’s Kensington Campus.

This fantastic event, organised by the UNSW MEDRIOS team, gathered hundreds of participants from the scientific community, promoting collaboration and showcasing the services available within UNSW as well as leading scientific suppliers.

A big thank you to our wonderful staff members Joshua, Zena, Sean, Stephanie, and Martin for representing the Ramaciotti Centre. Our team was actively engaged throughout the expo, interacting with attendees and highlighting our extensive range of genomic services catering to the diverse needs of researchers, from Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) and Sanger sequencing to Microarrays and Bioinformatics. We had our ONT MinION and P2Solo sequencing instruments on display, and handed out Ramaciotti merch (sharpies, plate sealers, and card holders!) to our booth visitors.

Our special Ramaciotti mascot, “G-nome” (the genomics gnome!) even made a guest appearance! To add a touch of fun to the expo, we organised a photo competition featuring G-nome, which brought a lot of excitement and laughter among the attendees. Two lucky winners received a Ramaciotti Centre Goodie bag, which included an Insulated Drink Bottle, Lunch Bag, and Tote bag.

Overall, the UNSW Laboratory Research and Services Expo was a tremendous success for the Ramaciotti Centre. We look forward to participating in future events and connecting with the vibrant scientific community in Australia.
